Weekly 2 hour Nordic Pole Walk

When: Starting again this September!

Start/End: Marmalade Kitchen & Bar patio on the seawall directly under Burrard Bridge - 1000 Beach Avenue. Yaletown/Science World Loop or English Bay/Stanley Park Loop or English Bay/Coal Harbour Loop or combination of all three.

What do Nordic walking have to offer you?

• Exercise the entire body, including "trunk" muscles, using no more perceived effort than walking
• Burn from 20-46% more calories than ‘ordinary’ walking

• Take damaging stress off of your joints, hips, knees and ankles
• Greatly increased cardio workout (10-15 more heartbeats per minute than regular walking)
• Helps maintain and correct posture
• Can be practiced on almost any terrain (asphalt, gravel, grass, snow, etc.)
